            A few years ago, Jack Bogut was featured on both ABC’s Good Morning America and in USA Today as one of the top five radio personalities in the nation. He eventually became number two in the country.


            In 2011 he was inducted into the Broadcasters Hall of Fame and has been nominated to the National Radio Hall of Fame in Chicago.


            He is widely known as a storyteller and keynote speaker for meetings and conventions, both local and national. (Click on the “Speaking link.)


            Over the years Jack has been very active in the community affairs of Pittsburgh. He has served on the Advisory Board of the International Poetry Forum, the Advisory Board of The Make-a-Wish Foundation, is a former Director of St. Clair Memorial Hospital, Eye and Ear Hospital, The Eye and Ear Institute, The Civic Light Opera Association, and was one of the local founders of Family House, which is now national.


            He was named Pittsburgh's outstanding Radio Personality four times by his peers in SAG/AFTRA. He has won The Pittsburgh Man of The Year Award in Communications from Vectors, Citizen of the Year from the Pennsylvania chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, similar awards from many regional community organizations and the National Evergreen Award for public service.


            Recently, he was given the “Outstanding Achievement Award” for radio by the Pittsburgh Radio & Television Club, the Ronald Macdonald “MAC” Award for his work with children through The Make-A-Wish Foundation and Children’s Hospital, “The Bob Prince Memorial Award” for community service and, “The Lifetime Achievement in Broadcasting Award” by his fellow broadcasters and the March of Dimes.
